For the past 10 years, I have been the Senior Web designer and front-end developer for Car Toys, Inc. @ www.cartoys.com, one of the largest mobile electronics retailers in the nation. Prior to, and during my time with Car Toys, I have worked as a web master and freelance web designer, building web sites and web tools for small businesses and non-profit groups.

The Car Toys Online team has always been made up of just a handful of people. There is usually the Director, a developer or two, the web designer/developer (myself), and the call center team. Back around 2009, we decided
that the time was right to re-do our wireless checkout flow. A sister company in the Car Toys Enterprise, Wireless Advocates, had just been given a quarter of a million or more to produce an online wireless retail store for CostCo.
We had a very good developer come on board our team right around this time and we wanted to see if we could create a user-experience that could match what Wireless Advocates was going to do, but without the budget and on an
ecommerce platform that was already 5 - 10 years out of scope...
